Outsourcing for practically everything is a modern day reality. However, we can’t outsource ourselves totally. At some point we have to make ourselves accountable to ourselves for the very reason that we know ourselves best…sometimes we just forget. There are certain elements of life that we can control:
Learn how to feed yourself well
Learn how to regulate your nervous system
Learn how to reduce the volume of your internal chatter
Optimise your wellbeing by making you a priority, along with everything & everyone else you prioritise.
In the last few years I have left a difficult relationship; went through an arduous separation & divorce; said goodbye to a life I had imagined & set about rebuilding a new life; building up my own business (because at 55 the world seems to think your serviceability is diminished which I don’t believe for a minute - that serves as fuel for my fire); I look after aging parents & am dealing with the sudden death of a partner.
The emotional & financial fall out & considerations of all of the above is ongoing. Every day. I am not immune.
Trauma & stress live in our body & unless we do something about it, it will manifest into something more insidious than what we are already trying to deal with.
Moore Nourishing Life is about how to do just that.
My business gives me a platform to support people to manage whatever is going on in their life.
Body, Mind, Heart.
There is nothing esoteric about it, it is all practical, doable & achievable.
I live my work & my talk. Some days are joyous. Some days are absolute shit.
That is life & life is messy.
But how do we sit in the middle? I manage to deal with challenges & still be intact & have fun, not because I am special, but because I do what I ask you to do.
I look after me. I move, eat, breathe, rest connect. Everyday.
I make allowances & step back when I can’t be with the outside world.
I gather myself, go off social media, skip sending an email, say no to things & I step back from all the thing I don’t have to do so that I can build my resources.
It doesn’t always flow well, but the distance between stepping away and diving back in gets shorter the more adept we become at rebuilding.
I always say it takes practice. Ritualise & systemise your practices.
Make you important. It’s the only way.
