Resuming Normal Programming
Well hello!
Remember me? I know…It’s been awhile.
I have come to think the way we operate, and with the amount of information and activity swirling around us, we are a TV network in human form with multiple channels.
Our lives flip between Comedy, Drama, Cringeworthy, Blockbuster, & if you are lucky, Romance.
Sometimes we get stuck on the “Re-Run” loop at 3am, watching a story line, over and over and over, often multiple nights in a row.
But of course, most of us are supremely lucky. We do not have a Horror Channel. When we consider this, it puts our lives into perspective doesn’t it?
Of late, for many months now, my personal transmission a real mixed bag - jammed on the re-runs, family drama and bad reality television channels while intermittently flipping to Moving Houses, Travel shows and (really classy versions) of Love Island - celebrating engagements and even a wedding.
So. Much. Fun
Part of the ethos of Moore Nourishing Life is about knowing when to switch off and wait for the new seasons to begin. So I took my own advice.
Things consume us & re-direct our attention elsewhere, often away from the things that we love. It is very hard to stay present in our lives every day when we have things that weigh us down. It is hard work to consistently bring intentional attention to all of the things that keep us healthy, motivated, and uplifted, particularly when circumstances ask alot of us.
But this is the work we absolutely must do for ourselves, so we engage with our world in the most optimal way we can. No matter what is going on. That doesn’t mean showing up in our lives has to look like a Disney movie. Not at all. Stepping back and focusing on what needs our attention and pressing pause on everything else is sometimes what has to be done… a bit like sitting down to watch a movie that someone else has picked….sometimes you just have to grin and bear it.
But for now, for me, it’s back to the regular programming with some upgrades, & new programmes. And I would quite like to stay on the comedy channel for a while, the occasional nature doco to remind me of the beauty of the world & a bit of the romance channel might not go astray either.
May our lives reflect a streaming service with just a few channels.
I’m sure that is all we are meant to manage - comedy, rom-com, action & adventure, a little bit of drama, inspiration, motivation & discovery channels.
That’ll do me.
Until next time - thanks for sticking around - that’s all folks
Love
Mon
And for some absolute joy here is Sam Smith singing at NPR Tiny Desk Concerts. He is backed by a choir - sweet lord the voices will lift you (and possibly make you cry like me).

So lovely to have you pop into my morning . Hoping to see more of you. Glad you have found a more pleasant place to Be. 💖💖
